The 2024 Summer Game Fest showcase culminated recently after unveiling a number of games, trailers and some surprises in front of the gaming community.  The festival was filled with almost all kinds of video games from across the country. The show was successful in shedding light on games of all kinds throughout its runtime of two hours. Some first looks at the new titles were also seen during the vent such as the Lego Horizon Adventures, and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero To Release In October

The Dragon Ball franchise will bring more high-energy Super Saiyan action with the release of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on October 11, 2024, for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The latest preview of the anime spinoff showcased explosive gameplay featuring iconic characters like Goku, Frieza, Buu, Vegeta, and more. Additionally, the footage revealed that pre-ordering the game will grant six early character unlocks, including a mystery fighter.

Batman: Arkham Shadow Trailer Makes Players Roam In The VR Gotham City

The Meta Quest 3-exclusive Batman: Arkham Shadow emerged from the shadows, giving DC fans a closer look at its younger Batman and the new challenges he encounters. The latest footage of the VR spinoff debuted at Summer Game Fest, offering a cinematic view of a Bruce Wayne that Arkham fans may recognise. The trailer, which introduces the Rat King as the main villain, also includes a few Easter eggs for those interested in references to other Gotham criminals.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions To Launch In 2024

Any Harry Potter fans in the house? Do you know that you are in for a treat this year? The much-awaited, game, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set to hit the market this year. All the fans who have been waiting since the release of Hogwarts Legacy last year can now look forward to Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. The game is set to launch on September 3, 2024, for PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, as well as for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Lego Horizon Adventures Will Arrive On Your PlayStation 5 Consoles

The Lego Horizon Adventures game debuted at Summer Game Fest, showcasing brick versions of Aloy and the iconic robot dinosaurs that fans love. The initial footage revealed a family-friendly Lego adventure, distinct from Guerrilla Games’ mainline series, with a hint at co-op play. It also teased customisation options, which players can enjoy when Lego Horizon Adventures launches this holiday season on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, and PS5.

Killer Bean Early Access Begins Coming Summer

The humorous action game Killer Bean is coming in the summer of 2024, offering wild sandbox gameplay. A trailer revealed surprising features like driving cars and jet skis, breakdancing through bullets, and switching between first- and third-person views. It seems there are endless possibilities in Killer Bean.

Star Wars Outlaws Teaser Hits The Curtain

Ubisoft’s first venture into an open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws, premiered at Summer Game Fest 2024 with an exciting new gameplay trailer. Featuring quick glimpses of both familiar and new locations, the trailer follows protagonist Kay Vess navigating through and around the Empire. More details will be revealed at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward, but for now, Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch on August 30.

Street Fighter 6 To Gonna Have A Crossover We Didn’t Exist! Fatal Fury Incoming

More Street Fighter 6 content is on the horizon, with Capcom announcing the addition of four new characters in Season 2. This upcoming season is set to be one of the busiest for the classic fighting game, featuring a crossover with Fatal Fury that brings fighters, Terry and Mai, into the fray. Additionally, classic Street Fighter characters M. Bison, now sporting a new look, and Elena will also be joining the roster. The new content will be released gradually over the rest of the year.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops debuted at Summer Game Fest 2024, showcasing grounded first-person shooter action in a new trailer. Valorant Arriving On Your Consoles

Riot Games, the developer behind League of Legends, is expanding its competitive fantasy shooter Valorant to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This marks a significant shift for the first-person shooter, previously available exclusively on PC. Although cross-play support won’t be included, Riot Games assures players they can maintain their progress across platforms through cross-progression. A limited beta test is scheduled to start on June 14, with the full console launch anticipated in the future.

Dune: Awakening Story Trailer Sets The Stage

During Summer Game Fest, Funcom showcased its open-world survival MMO adaptation of Dune, titled Dune: Awakening, offering players a deeper insight into Paul Atreides’ reign. The cinematic trailer immerses fans in Arrakis’ world, as the formidable ruler reflects on his past, future, and missed opportunities. Dune: Awakening will return for a spotlight at Gamescom in August and is anticipated to be released on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
