His latest Bollywood release is ‘Merry Christmas‘, starring Katrina Kaif and directed by Sriram Raghavan. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Vijay shared his special experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Jawan’ and expressed gratitude for the praise he received from SRK.However, he mentioned that he no longer wants to play villainous roles, indicating a shift in his career focus.
Talking about his bond with Shah Rukh Khan after working on ‘Jawan’, Vijay Sethupathi said that he learned something from everyone. What he learned from Shah Rukh Khan is that his energy levels never go down. One day, during the shoot, Khan was unwell, but no one can figure it out unless he tells. Khan shared a lot of things about Vijay, which he felt very happy about. Even what Rajinikanth and Vijay have said about him makes him happy. Sethupathi felt happy that they noticed so many aspects about him and his performances.
Vijay, who played the antagonist in ‘Jawan’, has decided not to play villain roles anymore because they create competition with the lead star. He now wants to focus on romantic films.
Vijay’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Maharaja’, set to release on June 14, holds special significance in his career as it marks his 50th film in the South Indian industry.
