Man shot dead over affair in Samastipur | India News

PATNA: A 27-year-old youth was shot dead by a man – with whose sister he had an affair – in Bibhutipur police station area of Samastipur district on Thursday night, said police on Friday. Another person received a bullet injury while trying to rescue victim Dheeraj Kumar. Accused Pinkesh Kumar later surrendered.
Bibhutipur SHO Anand Kashyap said a murder complaint was filed by victim Dheeraj’s father.”According to the complaint Dheeraj was at a clothing store in Khoksaha Chowk when Pinkesh arrived there with his friends. Pinkesh told Dheeraj to end the love affair with his sister, which Dheeraj denied. The dispute escalated and Pinkesh shot Dheeraj. The murder weapon has been recovered,” said the SHO, adding Pinkesh was sent to judicial custody.
Shopkeeper Kanhaiya Kumar also received a bullet injury. According to police, the deceased was shot four times, while the shopkeeper received an injury to his left hand.
Bibhutipur SHO Kashyap said the the injured shopkeeper is out of danger after the bullet was removed from his hand following a surgery. Both Dheeraj and Pinkesh were residents of of Belsandi Tara village. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
