Ayushmann Khurrana criticizes low voter turnout in Mumbai for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 |

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has voiced his disappointment over Mumbai’s low voter turnout in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Khurrana, who originally hails from Chandigarh, traveled from Mumbai to Punjab for the weekend, just to cast his vote in the final and seventh phase of the elections on Saturday.
After fulfilling his civic duty at a designated polling booth, Khurrana addressed the media, stressing the importance of voter participation.“I came back to my city to cast my vote and exercise my right,” Khurrana said.

Slamming the people of Mumbai city for the poor turn out this year, he said, “Mumbai recorded a very low voter turnout this time, but we should cast our vote. We don’t have a right to complain if we don’t vote.”
Ahead of the elections, several Bollywood stars took to their social media handles to do their bit to encourage fellow citizen to vote. Several others were also spotted out at polling booths around the city and encouraging several other young fans to also exercise their right to vote.
Proudly showing off his inked finger to the cameras as he made his way to his car, the actor, also recalled the time when he cast his first vote at the age of 18.
“I still remember when I cast vote for the first time. I was so excited…I came on my cycle to the polling booth to cast my vote…,” he shared.
