NEW DELHI: Ramoji Rao, the founder of Ramoji film city and head of ETV network, passed away during the early hours of Saturday at Star Hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana. Rao, aged 87, died at 3:45 am while receiving medical care.
Condoling the death, Senior BJP leader G Kishan Reddy posted on X “Saddened by the passing of Shri Ramoji Rao garu. His remarkable contributions to Telugu media and journalism is commendable.My deepest condolences to his family members. Om Shanti”

The group also owned Eenadu newspaper, ETV Network of TV channels, and Usha Kiran Movies, a film production company.
The renowned entrepreneur and media mogul has played a significant role in the Indian entertainment and media landscape through his pioneering ventures.
