Rains lash Kerala, 4 dead | India News – Times of India

Heavy rain lashed central and south Kerala on Tuesday, with waterlogging, landslides and destruction of houses reported across towns. Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram mainly bore the brunt of the downpour.
Four persons were killed in rain-related incidents on Tuesday. Aravind, 28, of Mavelikkara was killed after an uprooted coconut tree fell on him; Sadanandan, 60, drowned in Vaikom while fishing; fisherman Abraham, 60, of Anchuthengu drowned after his boat capsized at Muthalapozhi, Thiruvananthapuram; and Rajan, 57, of Pambar was washed away in strong currents in Marayur, Idukki.
