Around twelve people, including police personnel, were injured in a clash between two groups in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, on Monday. According to a PTI report, the police said, the incident occurred in the Bharra Basti in the town police station area, when the power supply allegedly failed after two buffaloes were electrocuted.
The police used teargas to control the two groups, which were hurling stones at each other.
As per the report, an eyewitness said that the dispute began after a livewire fell on two buffaloes and electrocuted the animals. The buffaloes belonged to a milkman who then allegedly snapped the wire, reportedly part of an illegal connection, to take out the carcasses.

This angered some people who then allegedly thrashed the milkman. Eventually, an altercation began between the people of the two communities, which led to stone pelting.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Alok Ranjan told PTI the situation was under control and security was beefed up in the area.
Clash In Telangana Over Cattle Transportation
In another incident, a clash erupted between two communities over the alleged illegal transport of cows on Saturday, according to ANI, following which Section 144 was imposed near Ramdas Chowrasta in the Medak district of Telangana. A few people were taken into custody and an investigation started as cases were registered from both sides.
The scuffle broke out when Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders stopped the transportation of the cows. Then, instead of reportedly filing a complaint, they staged a protest.
Medak Superintendent of Police B. Bala Swamy told ANI, “The scuffle led to two persons receiving injuries. After that, both parties staged a protest on the road. The hospital where the injured persons were receiving treatment was also attacked”.
