NEW DELHI: Kendrapara Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 21 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Odisha state. It comprises of part of Cuttack district and entire Kendrapara district .
The constituency falls under the unreserved category and consist of seven assembly seats which are Salipur,
Mahanga, Patkura, Kendrapara (SC), Aul, Rajanagar, Mahakalapada.The literacy rate of the constituency is 67.65%.
In 2019, BJD candidate Anubhav Mohanty won the 2019 General Election with a victory margin of 1,52,584 votes, securing 6,28,939 votes. Anubhav Mohanty defeated Baijayant Panda of the BJP, who got 4,76,355 votes. The constituency witnessed a significant voter turnout of 72.23% in 2019.
The date of voting for the Kendrapara constituency of Odisha is June 1 (Phase 7) and the result will be announced on June 04.
BJP has fielded Baijayant Panda for the upcoming elections from this seat while Congress has fielded Sidharth Swarup Das. BJD has given ticket to Anshuman Mohanty from this constituency.
