The impact of sweltering heat was seen in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, where the water level of the Ganga hit its lowest level to date.
Due to the low water level, the Ganga has left the ghats – broken boats, scattered garbage, and broken boulders can be seen damaging the scenic beauty of the ghats.
