Abhishek Bachchan gives a shout-out to dad Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ trailer: calls it, ‘Mind-Blowing’ | Hindi Movie News

The much-awaited trailer of ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani was released on Monday.
Now, Abhishek Bachchan who has turned cheerleader for his father and megastar Amitabh Bachchan, and took to his Instagram handle to share a film poster to give a shout-out to the trailer release of his father’s upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD.
In the mythological sci-fi project directed by Nag Ashwin, Amitabh Bachchan takes on the role of Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya. In the poster shared by Abhishek, an intense showdown between a man and a group of people is depicted.
Sharing the poster, Abhishek wrote, ““mindblowing!!!!” and also tagged the cast of the film including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Nag Ashwin.
Going by the trailer, one can understand that Amitabh Bachchan is playing the epic role of Ashwathama, who has been cursed to live till the end of Kaliyug by Lord Krishna, and Deepika Padukone is the mother who will give birth to the 10th reincarnation of Vishu, who is called Kalki, and thus bring the end of Kaliyug.
Meanwhile, ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ directed by Nag Ashwin, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. The film opened advance bookings worldwide over the weekend and received a good response with ticket sales shooting past $500K in international markets.
It stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Dulquer Salmaan in pivotal roles. The film is all set to release on 27th June, with its first screening in the USA on 26th June.
