Did Not Put Any Pressure On Police: Maharashtra MLA
Maharashtra Vadgaon Sheri Assembly constituency MLA Sunil Tingre expressed grief over the incident and said that it was “very sad and unfortunate.” In a post on X, Tingre said that he had nothing to do with the incident and that wrong and defamatory information was being spread about him on social media.
“The death of two people in an accident in Kalyaninagar last night is a very sad and unfortunate incident. I share the grief of the families of both the deceased, and I also believe that the youth who died in this accident will definitely get justice through the judicial system. He also hopes that strict action will be taken against the culprits,” the Maharashtra MLA said in the post roughly translated into English.
“Even though I have nothing to do with this unfortunate accident, wrong and defamatory information about me has been spread on social media since yesterday. It was ignored at the beginning, but as it was realised that the opposition is trying to take advantage of it, it is necessary to clarify the detailed position regarding yesterday’s incident,” he further stated.
Tingre also said that he did not try to put any pressure on the police, and misinformation is being spread by some people on social media. “No doubt even the police officers will admit that I did not put any pressure on the police. That is why a case was registered in this case at 6 a.m. yesterday, and further court proceedings were also conducted, he said.
“Meanwhile, mischief is being made by some elements on social media, and I have put pressure on the police in this accident. Because of this, there is a possibility of defaming me in public and political life. This fact is mentioned here. Actually, I have been against ‘nightlife’ from the beginning and have raised my voice about it from time to time, the MLA further stated.
