TIRUPATI: Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that the NDA, if elected to power in the ongoing hustings, will implement the “one nation-one election” policy in the next five years.
Rajnath Singh made this statement during an rally held at Jammalamadugu assembly constituency in Kadapa district. “Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections are held simultaneously in AP.We will fulfil our commitment of one nation-one election across the country by the end of the next five years. This will save a lot of time and energy”, the defence minister said.
He accused the YSRCP govt in Andhra Pradesh of leading the state into a debt trap with its “corrupt” practices. “The BJP entered into a pact with the TDP and Jana Sena in AP to end the corrupt rule of the Jagan Reddy govt”, Rajnath Singh said.
He said Andhra Pradesh’s debt has skyrocketed to Rs 13.5 lakh crore during the YSRCP regime. “People of the state are fed up with the deteriorating law and order situation in the state,” Rajnath Singh said urging people to pledge support to all the NDA candidates in the poll fray from Andhra Pradesh.
The defence minister said if people voted the NDA partners to power in Andhra Pradesh, the state will be “liberated from the clutches of the corrupt YSRCP govt”.
