Odisha Cabinet portfolios: The cabinet portfolios for Odisha were announced on Saturday, two days after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took oath as the state’s first BJP CM. Majhi kept Home, General Administration and Public Grievance, Information and Public Relations, and Water Resources.
Meanwhile, Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh got Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment and Energy ministries.
Deputy CM Pravati Parida got Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism ministries.

The portfolios were anticipated to be announced on Thursday. On Friday, cabinet minister Prithiviraj Harichandan had said that the allocation was completed and the list from the Governor’s house could be announced anytime. However, the portfolio list was not announced even by Friday night.
