Arvind Kejriwal to attend MVA rally in Mumbai on May 17 says Sanjay Raut | India News

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that AAP leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been invited for the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s (MVA)rally in Mumbai on May 17 which will be the concluding rally as the campaign ends in Mumbai.
Mumbai will vote on May 20. Raut said that Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray spoke to Kejriwal and welcomed him. “On May 17, the MVA’s filly rally will be held.So we have invited him and he has accepted the invitation. On the same day, Narendra Modi is also in Mumbai and on the same day, Arvind Kejriwal will be on the MVA’s stage,” Raut said. Apart from Uddhav and Kejriwal, other senior MVA leaders from the Congress and the NCP (Sharad Pawar) are also expected to attend the rally. Sena (UBT) functionaries said that NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar is also expected to attend the rally.
13 Lok Sabha seats go to the polls. While 10 seats are from the MMR region, Dhule, Dindori and Nashik will also go to the polls on May 20, the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls and the last phase of the elections in Maharashtra.
Kejriwal was on Friday granted interim bail till June 1 by Supreme Court. Kejriwal, who was lodged in Tihar Jail in an alleged money laundering case in connection with the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy was granted bail for election campaigning. The apex court rejected the AAP leader’s plea for bail till the counting of votes on June 4.
With the BMC giving permission to the MNS to hold a rally on May 17 at Dadar’s Shivaji Park, the Sena (UBT) has sought permission at the MMRDA grounds in BKC for its concluding rally. The Sena (UBT) had also applied to the BMC to book the ground on May 17, however, the BMC gave permission to the MNS. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MNS chief Raj Thackeray and other leaders from the MahaYuti will attend the rally and give speeches. This will be the first public rally where both Raj and Modi will share the stage and will be the Maha Yuti campaigns finale for Mumbai. The MNS on Thursday released a teaser of the rally featuring Raj and Modi. Raj had recently announced unconditional support to the Maha Yuti.
