NEW DELHI: The biggest hero of today’s results has been N Chandrababu Naidu, who not only swept the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections but also emerged as the kingmaker in NDA government formation at the Centre.
But back in 2021, there was a time when the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister broke down at a press conference and accused YSR Congress MLAs of making inappropriate and personal comments about his wife.Naidu broke down in tears as he expressed his anguish over the alleged remarks made by the ruling party members.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief claimed that the YSR Congress MLAs had stooped to a new low by targeting his wife, Bhuvaneswari, during a recent assembly session. “For the last two-and-a-half years, I have been bearing the insults but remained calm. Today, they targeted even my wife. They have attacked my wife, Bhuvaneswari. I am always an optimistic man and I am very positive in life but they are crossing the limits,” Naidu said, his voice choking with emotion.
Naidu further stated that he had never faced such personal attacks in his 40-year-long political career. He questioned the YSR Congress Party’s motives behind the alleged remarks and demanded an apology from the ruling party.

Naidu also likened the Andhra assembly to ‘Kaurava Sabha’ and decided to boycott it till 2024.
“This is a dharma poratam (just battle) against the atrocious rule of the YSRC. I will go to the people and seek their support. If people co-operate, I will strive to save the state,” he had said.
Cut to 2024, Naidu will now be taking charge as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh as table turn in the state.
